El tejido race es súper ligero y, al mismo tiempo, muy resistente y elástico. Es suave y agradable en contacto con la piel, con alta resistencia a la abrasión y al pilling, y su construcción lo hace ideal para actividades todoterreno. Es transpirable y de secado rápido gracias a la ausencia de elastómero.
